Renovation of Vitebsk Arts College History Museum close to completion

The renovation of the building that will house the Vitebsk Arts College History Museum is close to completion.

The future museum will be located in the historical building at 5a Marc Chagall Street. It is one of the few houses in the street that survived the Great Patriotic War. Recently, the building has been awarded the status of the national historical and cultural monument of the early 20th century. The renovation project by Vitebskgrazhdanproekt is based on the original 1923 layout, restored according to the historic photos. The interior, stairs, plasterwork, parquet, and the wallpaper look just like a century ago when Marc Chagall, Kazimir Malevich, El Lissitzky and other famous artists lived and created here.
