Polish WW2 veterans meet with Belarusian brothers in arms in Grodno

Around 40 Polish veterans of World War II came to Grodno to visit their Belarusian comrades in arms. These days the Polish city of Bialystok is hosting the “Military Brats” meet-up. They asked the Belarusian Consulate General to organize a meeting with the Belarusian war veterans. Grodno City Hall and Grodno city veterans organization supported the initiative.

“Military brats” is the term used to denote the youngest soldiers of World War II who fought as partisans and regular soldiers when they were 12-17 years old.
