The Novovoronezh NPP, one of the oldest nuclear power plants in Russia, is located in Voronezh Oblast, 3.5km away from the city of Voronezh. This is Russia's first nuclear power plant with the Water-Water Energetic Reactors (VVER). Power generating unit No.6, built under the AES 2006 project, is currently being commissioned at the plant.
