Molodechno takes over Belarus' Capital of Culture status

Molodechno took over the status of the Belarusian Capital of Culture from Brest in a solemn ceremony on 5 February. The status is of special importance for Molodechno as the city was named the Capital of Culture in the Year of Culture. The city has added to its history another page it can be proud of, Culture Minister Boris Svetlov said.

Belarus' Capital of Culture 2016 accepted the symbol of the Year of Culture. First Secretary of the Central Committee of the BRSM Youth Union Andrei Belyakov expressed confidence that all the events planned for the implementation in the Year of Culture would be the confession of love to the Motherland.
