Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko took part in a ceremony to plant Tree of Peace and Sustainable Development to mark the end of World War Two and the 70th anniversary of the United Nations Organization. The ceremony took place in the Loshitsa Park in Minsk on 23 October.
Attending the ceremony were also Director of the UNDP Regional Bureau for Europe and CIS Cihan Sultanoglu, UN Resident Coordinator/UNDP Resident Representative in Belarus Sanaka Samarasinha, representatives of the diplomatic corps.
