The Church of Life-Giving Trinity is an ancient wooden church and the oldest building in Yelsk. The church was built in the form of a cross in 1780.
In 1870 the church was expanded by a wooden bell tower. The Yelsk Holy Trinity Church has been active since its foundation. Miraculously, the wooden church did not suffer any damages during wars, unrests and revolutions.
