Third secretary of the information and humanitarian cooperation department, second secretary of the analysis and forecasts department, second secretary of the Secretariat of the Foreign Ministry of the Republic of Belarus in 1993-1995. Deputy Head of the State Protocol Service of the Foreign Ministry in 1995-1996. In 1996-1999 Belarus' representative at the Council of Europe, Counselor at the Embassy of Belarus in France. Head of the Department for European Cooperation at the Foreign Ministry in 1999-2000. Appointed Aide of the President of the Republic of Belarus in 2000.
Head of the Belarus President Administration from July 2008 to August 2012.
Appointed Minister of Foreign Affairs on 20 August 2012.
