Belarus demonstrates a model of peace and stability, which effectiveness is truly unique. The opinion was voiced by Associate Professor Nikolai Shchekin, Candidate of Philosophy, Head of the Political and Economic Sociology Center at the Sociology Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, as he commented on the Belarus president's address to the nation and the parliament, BelTA has learned.
Nikolai Shchekin continued by saying that a lot of aggression has been accumulated in the world. “Belarus has proved its ability to respond to complicated challenges, defend national interests, protect sovereignty and the independent policy of the country,” said the expert. “It is very important for stability to remain based on harmonious interaction of the administration system, all the social structures and strata of the Belarusian society.”
In his words, attempts to isolate Belarus have failed due to the extreme openness of the country, the ability to shape an equal dialogue and constructive relations with other countries in all branches of foreign policy. “It is necessary to understand that peace has been secured not only by the state alone but also by efforts of every man and woman. The civilizational and cultural patterns of our society have always relied on kindness, tolerance, clean conscience, and Christian values. The Belarusian society abhors any double standards,” believes the expert.
Not only political reality but economic reality is changing. “Belarus should use integration opportunities as much as possible, building its technological future in accordance with the fifth and sixth economic paradigms,” concluded Nikolai Shchekin.
