Belarus and Russia should move forward to develop supranational, intergovernmental relations, Georgy Grits, Deputy Director of the Center of System-Based Analysis and Strategic Research at the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, said in an interview with the ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.

According to him, regionalization is the common trend in the world today. The Eurasian Economic Union is the consolidating format for the two countries. Today Belarus and Russia are in lockstep with the global trend. The world would be surprised to see the union collapse, Georgy Grits said.

We must seek supranational, intergovernmental relations, and also find ways out on controversial issues, the expert believes.
