“I am proud to announce that after many years the Europe-USA Match will take place in Minsk on 9-10 September 2019. Frankly speaking, the event has not been held since the 1960s. In 2019 there are not many athletic competitions on the calendar, apart from the IAAF World Athletics Championships in Qatar. That is why we have decided on the date. One of the reasons behind our choice of Minsk for the match is that Dinamo Stadium will reopen after a major makeover in June 2018. I glad we will be able to use the stadium for the forthcoming athletics competitions,” said Svein Arne Hansen.
