Sunday of the Myrrhbearers celebrated in Belarus

The Feast of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing women was celebrated in the Holy Nativity of the Mother of God Convent in Grodno on 22 April. On this day Orthodox believers commemorate Holy Myrrh-Bearing women: Virgin Mary, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Salome, Mary the wife of Cleopas, Susanna, and Mary and Martha of Bethany. The Russian Orthodox Church commemorates these women on the second Sunday after Easter.

In Orthodox Christian tradition the Myrrhbearers are the individuals mentioned in the New Testament who were directly involved in the burial or who discovered the empty tomb following the resurrection of Jesus.
