Great British Festival in Minsk

The Great British Festival, which took place in the historical center of Minsk for the first time on 16 June, completed with a party from the London club brand Ministry of Sound.

The party featured drummers Melodians Steel Orchestra, the cover band Somethin' Regenerated with the hits of The Rolling Stones, The Beatles, Oasis, The Clash, and Sian Evans, the former front woman of Kosheen.

Svobody Square invited visitors to Belarus' first British food court. 17 mobile cafes and restaurants prepared traditional fish and chips, meat pies, roast beef, strawberries and cream, and English tea. Zybitskaya Street welcomed a 60m-long bar counter and an outdoor British pub.

Motorists had a chance to visit a showroom featuring the brand new Jaguar, Bentley, Range Rover and Mini and also the technology of Perkins Engines and JCB, the world's leading manufacturers of diesel and gas engines and construction equipment.

The program of the festival included a fashion shows from David Longshaw, who designed for Alberta Ferretti and Max Mara.

The event was organized by the UK embassy in cooperation with the Minsk City Hall.
