Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Pope Francis met in the Apostolic Palace in the Vatican on 21 May to discuss Belarus' relations with the Roman-Catholic Church.
The meeting between Alexander Lukashenko and Pope Francis lasted for about 40 minutes. 25 minutes of them the President and the Pope of Rome spent on the one-on-one talks. The meeting was held in a very warm and friendly atmosphere. In the presence of the members of the official delegation the parties exchanged presents.
