Vitebsk to host international economic forum on 17-18 May

VITEBSK, 17 May (BelTA) – The 7th international economic forum Innovations. Investments. Prospects will take place in Vitebsk on 17-18 May, BelTA learned from the Vitebsk Oblast Marketing Center.

This year's forum will be held in the Summer Amphitheater. On its first day the forum will feature a plenary session, roundtables, bilateral and multilateral meetings, discussions of the Vitebsk Oblast real economic sector, investment in infrastructure, advantages of investing in FEZ Vitebsk, and also problems and opportunities for business in green economy and energy.

Taking part in the event will be the embassies of Kazakhstan, Moldova, Ukraine, Serbia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Tajikistan, Vietnam, Israel, Turkey, Belarus' embassy representations in Lithuania and Latvia. Attending the forum will also be Russian delegations, including from Moscow and St Petersburg, as well as the delegations from Latvia, Poland, Lithuania, China, UN (UNDP) representatives, members of business promotion centers of different Russian regions, heads of big industrial companies of Vitebsk Oblast.

The program of the forum will include the signing of agreements on cooperation and other events aimed at intensifying international cooperation of Vitebsk Oblast companies, attracting potential investors in the region.

On the second day of the event guests and participants of the forum are expected to visit companies and districts of Vitebsk Oblast.

The forum is organized by the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee, the Vitebsk City Hall, the Vitebsk Oblast Marketing Center, and the administration of the Vitebsk free economic zone.
