ASTANA, 31 May (BelTA-TASS) – A comprehensive trade and economic partnership should be developed in Eurasia using the example of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP), Russian First Vice Premier Igor Shuvalov told media.
“We should have a comprehensive trade and economic partnership in the Eurasian space. This partnership should, first of all, include the Eurasian Economic Union and the People's Republic of China and should be open to other states. We will launch talks on the matter immediately,” Igor Shuvalov said.
According to the Russian First Vice Premier, Iran may take part in the emerging EEU-China trade and economic partnership.
“Iran is a potential participant of such a partnership,” said Igor Shuvalov. He added that cooperation with Iran was discussed during the restricted-attendance meeting of the EEU leaders. “They had a substantive, in-depth discussion,” Igor Shuvalov said.
