MINSK, 28 June (BelTA) – No critical flaws were identified during the inspections of a number of Belarusian fish farms banned from exporting to Russia, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food, the Director of the Veterinary and Food Supervision Department Alexander Subbotin told media, BelTA has learned.
One of the trout farms has already started exports to the Russian Federation. All other enterprises hosted inspectors of Rosselkhoznadzor. “It was a very thorough inspection. Russian experts were accompanied by our specialists. A number of flaws were identified. They are not critical but until we eliminate them, the farms will not be allowed access to the Russian market,” he said.
Active work is underway in this direction. One of the enterprises manufacturing fish products is ready for re-entering the Russian market. “A letter asking for the renewal of the certificate has been sent to the Russian Federation,” Alexander Subbotin said.
A similar letter will be sent with regards another company once inspectors verify that it has removed all identified flaws.
