Slutsk is grain harvest leader in Minsk Oblast

MINSK, 8 August (BelTA) – Slutsk District is the grain harvest leader in Minsk Oblast and Nesvizh District is the leader in terms of grain yield, BelTA learned from the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

As of the morning of 8 August, Slutsk District harvested 72,052 tonnes of grain. The Minsk Oblast 2017 harvest leaders are Kopyl District (more than 59,000 tonnes), Nesvizh District (more than 55,000 tonnes), Kletsk District (more than 43,000 tonnes) and Luban District (more than 41,000 tonnes).

Minsk Oblast has already cleared 30.4% of the areas under grain crops. As for grain yield, the Minsk Oblast leaders include Nesvizh District (59.2 centners/ha), Dzerzhinsk District (53.4 centners/ha), Minsk District (48.9 centners/ha) and Molodechno District (44.3 centners/ha).

The average yield in Minsk Oblast is 36.9 centners per hectare. The best farms by grain yield are SPK Agrokombinat Snov (Nesvizh District) with 92.5 centners/ha, OAO Ignatichi (Minsk District) with 90.8 centners/ha and OAO Gastellovskoye (Minsk District) with 83.1 centners/ha.

The best-performing combine operators have already passed the mark of 1,000 tonnes of grain. The leader is the team of Alexander Kiyko and Igor Kirdun from OAO Rechen (Luban District). They have already thrashed more than 1,500 tonnes.

The best-performing drivers are Leonid Anisov (2,299 tonnes) and Nikolai Tiabus (2,031 tonnes from OAO Zabolotsky, Luban District. They operate MAZ 856100 trucks.
