Slutsk Cheese Factory set to launch direct supplies to Russia, Estonia

SLUTSK, 30 September (BelTA) – Slutsk Cheese Factory is considering the possibility of launching direct supplies to Russia and Estonia, Slutsk Cheese Factory Director General Anatoly Stetsko said at a business cooperation forum in Slutsk on 30 September, BelTA has learned.

He invited Russian and Estonian businessmen to discuss the prospects for launching direct supplies of products, from the manufacturer to the consumer. “I think this will be beneficial for the enterprises, as well as for any manufacturer. The fewer intermediaries, the lower the markup,” Anatoly Stetsko explained.

Slutsk Cheese Factory is one of the largest dairy enterprises in Belarus. Together with its subsidiaries, it processes some 1,600 – 1,700 tonnes of milk per day. Some 65% of the output is exported.

Slutsk hosted a business cooperation forum on 30 September. The event marked the 900th anniversary of the city. It aimed to strengthen interregional cooperation, trade and economic ties. The forum brought together representatives of Russian and Estonian enterprises. It was organized by the Minsk Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Slutsk District Executive Committee.
