Seminars in progress in China to explain latest legislation on China-Belarus industrial park

MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) – Presentations are taking place in China to explain new business operation terms of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Economy Ministry website.

A delegation led by Belarusian Deputy Economy Minister Pavel Utyupin is in China for the sake of arranging a two-day seminar to present new terms of investment and business operation in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The Belarusian delegation includes the head of the industrial park administration Alexander Yaroshenko and experts of the Economy Ministry, the Tax and Duties Ministry, the State Customs Committee, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Industrial Park Development Company. Most of the members of the delegation were directly involved in developing Belarus president decree No.166 on improving the special legal regime of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone.

The Belarusian delegation is in China to inform representatives of China's private sector and government agencies about novelties in decree No.166, preferences, and business operation terms. The delegation is going to explain everything and answer all the questions that potential investors may ask, BelTA has learned.

A presentation took place at premises of the Chinese Commerce Ministry in Beijing on 17 July. Representatives of over 50 companies, which are interested in investing in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, took part in the event.

The development of the industrial park was discussed during a meeting with representatives of major Chinese companies the day before, on 16 July. An agreement to set up an enterprise to make industrial robots in the Great Stone industrial park was reached during the tour of the industrial robots factory of CITIC Kaicheng Company in the city of Tangshan. Preparations for the project will be completed by the end of the year. The Economy Ministry and the Commerce Ministry as well as the park's administration will provide the necessary assistance to the Chinese company for the sake of registering a resident company in the park by the end of the year.

A seminar is scheduled to take place at premises of the municipal government in the city of Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province, on 18 July. The province is located in the south of mainland China and is the country's leader in GDP terms.

The Belarusian Economy Ministry and the Chinese Commerce Ministry head the intergovernmental coordinating council of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone. The council is the supreme body in charge of managing the park. In line with Belarus president decree No.166 of 12 May 2017, central and municipal government agencies, organizations accountable to the Council of Ministers are obliged to fulfill decisions of the coordinating council.
