MOSCOW, 13 December (BelTA) – Primorye Territory is interested in assembling vehicles made by the Belarusian mechanical engineering company Amkodor, BelTA learned from the press service of the embassy of Belarus in Russia after Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko met with Primorye Territory Acting Governor Andrei Tarasenko in Moscow on 13 December.
Andrei Tarasenko said: “We need an assembly enterprise, a screwdriver industry of our own. We actively develop road infrastructure, machines and vehicles are in demand. We also need gas engine vehicles and buses. We are particularly interested in land amelioration machines.”
Deputy Director General of OAO Amkodor (the managing company of the Belarusian industrial group) Vladimir Yanushko, Director of OOO Amkodor-Dormash-DV (the division in charge of distribution in Russia's Far East) Mikhail Bogdanovich, the head of this company's representative office in Minsk Sergei Basalygo, and the director of the industrial group's representative office in Moscow Alexander Kharitonchik also took part in the meeting.
The sides discussed the possibility of Amkodor taking part in implementing the import substitution policy and various regional programs on developing Primorye Territory.
Igor Petrishenko said: “Today's meeting is a result of our previous contacts. We've studied all the aspects of cooperation between Belarus and Primorye Territory. We've sketched out avenues we should reinvigorate. What we discussed is now at the heart of the roadmap. The Belarusian government has instructed the relevant parties to think about tractor assembly, road construction, cooperation in agriculture and light industry”.
