Russia's ex-finance minister expects economy to resume growth within 1-2 years

DAVOS, 21 January (BelTA – TASS) – Russia's economy may resume growth within 1-2 years, the former Finance Minister and the head of the Civic Initiatives Committee think tank Aleksei Kudrin said at a business breakfast with investors organized by VTB Capital in Davos on Thursday.

"Within one or two years the economy will resume growth," he said, adding that budget reserves, low debt level and flexible exchange rate of the ruble have enabled the Russian economy to quickly adjust to the current environment.
