VITEBSK, 16 February (BelTA) – A Russian investor has invested $12 million in a motorway service facility in Dubrovno District, BelTA learned from the Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee.
The facility consists of a hotel for 20 rooms (60 beds), an entertainment center and a parking lot for 100 vehicles. The project will create 400 new jobs. It is expected that with the commissioning of the facility the flow of tourists to Dubrovno District will increase.
The Vitebsk Oblast Executive Committee and BelRosTorgSbyt company signed an investment contract to build the motorway service facility on the highway Brest - Russian Federation border (608th kilometer) on 28 December 2011. The design work was launched in 2012. A ceremony to inaugurate the multifunctional hotel and entertainment complex on 16 February will be attended representatives of the authorities and the investor.
