Russia lifts import restrictions from two Belarusian companies

MINSK, 18 August (BelTA) – Rosselkhoznadzor, Russia's Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, lifted the temporary import restrictions it imposed earlier on two Belarusian companies: OAO Velgrad and OAO Pruzhany Dairy Plant, reads a statement posted on the website of Rosselkhoznadzor, BelTA has learned.

“Taking into account the analysis of the materials and the guarantees of the veterinary and food supervision department at the Agriculture and Food Ministry of Belarus regarding the investigation into the reasons for the violations of the requirements of the Eurasian Economic Union and Russia, Rosselkhoznadzor removed the temporary restrictions on the supply of beef and beef oval to Russia from OAO Velgrad in Minsk Oblast and on the supply of products of OAO Pruzhany dairy plant,” the statement reads.
