Russia expected to sell 24m tonnes of oil to Belarus in 2020

MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) – The indicative balance sheets provide for the delivery of 24 million tonnes of oil from Russia to Belarus in 2020, BelTA learned from Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim Andrei Bunakov in the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on 10 October.

The official said: “As for the volume of oil, the indicative balance sheets provide for the delivery of 24 million tonnes. The figure has not changed.”

Asked whether the so-called recustoms procedure will be applied to 6 million tonnes of oil, Andrei Bunakov remarked the decision had not been made yet.

The official said that proposals on supplying oil products in 2020 had been forwarded to the Russian Federation. “Russia is considering them. We've received many requests concerning sensitive goods such as lubricants from our enterprises. The requests have been forwarded to Russia. In other words, we would like an increase. We expect the Russian Federation to back our proposal,” he added.
