MINSK, 5 July (BelTA) – Rusnano sees prospects of cooperation with Belarus. The statement was made by Andrei Svinarenko, Director General of the Fund for Infrastructure and Education Programs in Rusnano Group, during the opening ceremony of the Nanoindustry Week in Belarus on 5 July, BelTA has learned.
Andrei Svinarenko said: “It is too early to talk about joint projects but they can definitely happen judging by the potential showcased by the exhibition of products for nanoindustry. There are opportunities for cooperation between our companies and institutions. Joint research projects are already underway with Russian institutes and engineering companies. The network the [Rusnano] Fund [for Infrastructure and Education Programs] has created may become part of these cooperation schemes. The network comprises 15 infrastructure centers and over 600 small enterprises created by these centers. There are areas we are mutually interested in.”
The Nanoindustry Week is part of the Year of Science in Belarus. The week began with a national exhibition of products, equipment, and instruments for nanoindustry by over 30 companies. Andrei Svinarenko said: “Some enterprises and institutes look interesting. We are going to study materials about their R&D efforts.”
A general meeting of the republican association of nanoindustry will take place as part of the Nanoindustry Week. Representatives of the Council of Ministers, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Education Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the State Standardization Committee, and business structures are expected to participate in it.
Apart from that, a presentation of the R&D park Belbiograd will take place. The park has been established to further the development of bio-, nano-, pharm-, and other science-intensive technologies. Visits to member organizations of the republican association of nanoindustry will be arranged and presentations of new high-tech manufacturing projects will take place. The number includes the R&D center for materials sciences, the A.V. Lykov Heat and Mass Transfer Institute, the R&D association for powder metallurgy, the R&D association Tsentr. Prominent scientists, specialists and experts in the area of nanotechnologies will deliver lectures in universities and organizations in Minsk.More about Economy
