MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) - Proposals for tariffs on gas transportation within the common gas market of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) will be ready by October 2018, BelTA learned from Leonid Shenets, Director of the Energy Department of the Eurasian Economic Commission.
“There is one disagreement on the draft program for the EAEU common gas market which concerns the setting of tariffs on the transportation of gas within the common market,” Leonid Shenets said.
The issue is currently considered at the level of the energy ministers of the EAEU member states. Instructions have been given to hold meetings to discuss unified methodology for tariff setting (pricing) on gas transportation services in the EAEU common gas market.
The results will be reported to the EAEU heads of government at the next meeting of the intergovernmental council in October 2018.
It is expected that the draft program on the development of the common gas market will be signed before the end of 2018. The development of an international agreement on the EAEU common gas market and its submission for domestic harmonization is envisaged in 2020, its signing - in 2021.
