MINSK, 28 February (BelTA) –The inquiry into the Russian import restrictions on Belarusian products is in full swing, BelTA learned from Belarusian Interior Minister Igor Shunevich on 28 February.
Igor Shunevich said that it is too early to talk about any specific results for now, as “the inquiry is in full swing”. So far the Interior Ministry has registered several inquiry materials and is busy verifying the facts, which, the Belarusian side believes, are designed to discredit the business reputation of competitors.
Igor Shunevich noted that the Belarusian Interior Ministry does not intend to make a legal assessment. “We collect evidence proving that a number of Belarusian producers are suffering from economic and reputation losses for no good reason other than far-fetched pretexts and claims of the Russian side,” Igor Shunevich said.
