MINSK, 7 December (BelTA) – A joint Belarus-China construction and design institute will be presented before potential customers in January 2018. The agreement was reached between Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin and Hu Zheng, general representative of China Merchants Group in Central Asia and the Baltic states, member of the Board of Directors of China Merchants Group, CEO of the Industrial Park Development Company, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

“During the meeting, the sides came up with specific decisions to complete the establishment of a joint construction and design institute which should become the most innovative design organization in the country. Anatoly Kalinin and Hu Zheng agreed to present it before potential customers in January 2018,” the press service said.

Anatoly Kalinin and Hu Zheng also discussed topical matters of the development of the Belarusian-Chinese industrial park Great Stone. It was noted that a huge step was made in 2017 towards the practical implementation of this strategic project. The construction of infrastructure in the park's first-stage area is nearing completion. Some facilities have already been commissioned: the administrative complex and manufacturing building of the Industrial Park Development Company, the first and second stages of the logistics subpark of China Merchants CHN-BLR Commerce and Logistics (three logistics premises, a boiler station, a container terminal, and a business center with a hotel). The construction of an exhibition center is at the final stage, too. It is to be commissioned by the 2017 year-end. The manufacturing facilities of Chengdu Xinzhu Silk Road Development (production of supercapacitors) and Ruchtech (production of laser equipment) are under construction along with a fire station and other engineering and transport facilities.
