Over 85 proposals in Belarus' draft national business platform for 2017

MINSK, 23 February (BelTA) – The draft national business platform for 2017 contains over 85 proposals, BelTA learned from Vladimir Karyagin, Chairman of the Presidium of the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship, on 23 February.

The draft 2017 National Business Platform contains 86 proposals in six priority areas. Those are fair competition; effective de-bureaucratization; regulatory optimization; effective development and growth institutions; expansion of access to property, assets, and investments; responsible partnership.

“The draft document has been in development for three months. Unlike the previous platforms not only representatives of the private sector played their part in making this document. The Economy Ministry sent Deputy Director of the Entrepreneurship Department Alexander Kalinovsky to assist us,” said Liliya Koval, Vice Chairwoman of the Minsk City Union of Entrepreneurs and Employers.

The National Business Platform is a compilation of proposals meant to improve Belarus' business climate. The compilation is part of the systemic economic development measures put forward by the private sector. According to the Republican Confederation of Entrepreneurship, since 2006 over 420 proposals submitted by the private sector via such documents have been implemented into legislation.
