Opinion: Joint projects with China will help Belarus enter a new technological phase

MINSK, 30 September (BelTA) – The implementation of joint projects with China will help Belarus enter a new technological phase, junior research scientist of the Centre for Social Philosophy and Anthropological Studies at the Institute of Philosophy of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus Piotr Petrovsky said in an interview to the Belarus One TV channel on 29 September, BelTA has learned.

The expert is confident that if all planned Belarus-China projects are implemented, the Belarusians will not recognize their country. “We will enter into a new technological phase,” he said.

Piotr Petrovsky does not rule out that Belarus will be the only country in Eastern Europe that will have no problems with energy, transport sector, high-quality industrial manufacturing enterprises.

Professor Mikhail Kovalev, Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the Belarusian State University, noted for his part that Belarus is among China's key strategic partners. The expert expressed confidence that the current state visit of the Belarusian leader to China would lay foundation for the new joint construction of the knowledge-driven economy of the two countries.
