Today we maintain mutual trade and economic cooperation with 120 countries and keep branching out into new markets,” Vladimir Domanevsky remarked.

Over 600 organizations with foreign capital have been registered in the oblast, 200 of them with Russian capital,” Vladimir Domanevsky said.

There is special tax treatment enabled in Mogilev Oblast in the free economic zone Mogilev and in the southwest. The Mogilev science park makes part of the country's innovative infrastructure and provides assistance to small innovative enterprises. “Today our region cannot only be described as a stable one with growing social and economic potential. Our oblast serves as a platform for social and political relations. In 2016, Mogilev hosted a session of the Council of Ministers of the Belarus-Russia Union State, the forum Interregional Cooperation between Mogilev Oblast and Bryansk Oblast in Youth Policy in the Union State, the ninth meeting of Belarusian and Russian sister cities. Mogilev Oblast is set to host the fifth Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in 2018,” the governor pointed out.

In his words, Mogilev Oblast is one of Belarus' largest cultural hubs. The region's rich history and culture are reflected in numerous archaeological sites, applied art, monumental sculptures, and unique architectural heritage. It was Mogilev Oblast that hosted the third national forum Museums of Belarus in 2016 and Bobruisk that became the country's cultural capital.

“Belarus is an extremely beautiful and interesting country. Its diligent tolerant hospitable people are its main landmark. By hospitality we also mean a well-developed tourism industry. Mogilev Oblast makes every effort for our guests, let alone our friends from the fraternal Russia, to enjoy vacations and learn more about the Belarusian traditions, culture, and customs as well as the distinctiveness and integrity of our people. We care about our reputation and our country's reputation. I hope that today's meeting will help strengthen our cooperation, develop friendly ties, and preserve neighborly relations,” Vladimir Domanevsky summarized.
