MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) – I hope new contracts will be signed with the Serbian business, Minsk Mayor Andrei Shorets said at the Belarusian-Serbian business forum on 29 June, BelTA has learned.

The business forum is part of the program of the Days of Belgrade that are underway in Minsk on 28-30 June. “We hope that Belgrade Days will result in considerable intensification of our mutually beneficial cooperation. We have already agreed on holding the Days of Minsk in Belgrade next year. I am confident that our cooperation will be expanding every month. I hope for the conclusion of a lot of contracts that will benefit both Belarus and Belgrade,” noted Andrei Shorets.

Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali believes that Belgrade Days in Minsk will be a good opportunity to strengthen the Belarusian-Serbian relations. A lot has been recently done in the trade and economic cooperation between the two countries. Nevertheless, the Mayor of the Serbian capital sees prospects for increasing mutual trade. “Minsk and Belgrade should play the main role in it,” Stressed Sinisa Mali.

Today's forum will feature the presentation of Minsk' economic, investment and tourism potential, Belgrade's economic opportunities, Belgrade on Water project and the sci-tech park of the Serbian capital. The event will include a business matchmaking session for Belarusian and Serbian companies.
