Minsk airport passenger numbers up by almost 30% in January 2016

MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – Passenger traffic through Minsk National Airport rose by 29.2% in January 2016 as against the same month a year earlier to about 193,400 passengers, BelTA learned from the press service of the National Airport Minsk.

In January 2016 the airport serviced over 1,600 flights, including more than 1,500 regular flights.

The National Airport Minsk is Belarus' first international airport that has been certified for compliance with the international standard ISO 9001. The airport is home to the national air carrier Belavia and the cargo carriers Transaviaexport, Rubystar, and Genex. The airport offers flights to over 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.
