Manager Training Program to change format for Belarus

MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – The ways to upgrade the Manager Training Program for Belarus have been discussed in Berlin, BelTA learned from the Economy Ministry of Belarus.

“On 17-19 October the Belarusian delegation comprising representatives of the Economy Ministry and the Institute of Business of the Belarusian State University took part in the events celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Manager Training Program. The visit included talks at the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy to discuss the ways to reformat the program for Belarus amid the development of digital economy and decide on the date for signing the joint statement to prolong the deadline for the implementation of the program for 2019-2021,” the ministry said.

According to the ministry, an agreement was reached to hold a meeting of the program management committee in the first quarter of 2019.

“Talks were also held with deputy head of the German Economic Team Belarus (GET Belarus) Robert Kirchner to discuss cooperation in digital transformation of the industrial sector based on the Industry 4.0 concept,” the ministry informed. GET confirmed the interest in such cooperation. In the near future the parties will continue consultations on the matter.

The Manager Training Program of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy currently includes 19 states are parties of Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Belarus has been participating in the program since 2006.
