Joint venture in Russia's Bashkortostan now offers new Belarusian MTZ tractor model

MOSCOW, 22 October (BelTA) – A joint venture located in the city of Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia has mastered the assembly of a new tractor model made by the Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ, the press service of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia told BelTA.

The lineup of Belarusian MTZ tractors made in Ufa has grown larger. Apart from the Belarus 82 model, which is the most popular model in the CIS states, the joint venture will make the Belarus 1221 model, which is more powerful and ergonomic.

In 2018 the Ufa-based joint venture considerably increased the production of the Belarus 82 tractor model due to the rapid development of agriculture in the region. The same factor has necessitated the expansion of the product lineup with the Belarus 1221 model.

The enterprise acquired the necessary certificates and permits to make the new model in advance with assistance of the Ufa branch of the Belarusian embassy in Russia. The assembly line was properly tuned for the new model and personnel training was arranged.

The new tractor boasts a number of advantages thanks to a more powerful and environmentally friendly engine, an improved cooling system, and ergonomic design elements.
