MOSCOW, 28 September (BelTA) – Interregional ties have great importance for Belarus and Russia, both in economic and other areas, Gomel Oblast Governor Vladimir Dvornik told media at the opening of the Gomel Oblast Days in Moscow on 28 September, BelTA has learned.
According to Vladimir Dvornik, Russia participates in big projects in Gomel Oblast, first of all, in those related for oil refining and metallurgy. The Russian business is represented by both the capital and other subjects of the Russian Federation. The Governor noted that apart from industry Russia also take part in the implementation of social projects.
Vladimir Dvornik also cited as a good example Gomselmash that partners with more than 1,000 Russian suppliers. The share of Russian component parts in the products of the company reaches 60%. “We are doing our best for these ties to strengthen,” the Governor said.
