MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – The Chinese corporation Huawei may take part in a project to co-create an intelligent transportation system in Belarus. The matter was discussed as Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Anatoly Kalinin met with Director General of Bel Huawei Technologies Pan Yong, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
The sides discussed topical matters of and prospects for Belarus-Huawei cooperation in the digital transformation of the real economy sector, formation of an intelligent transportation system, and implementation of specific social projects.
It was emphasized at the meeting that Huawei has been operating in Belarus for 16 years. During this time, Belarus and Huawei have carried out a number of educational projects together (including those to set up laboratories at higher and secondary educational institutions) and organized training seminars in a Huawei center in China.
