Heads of Belarusian, Russian veterinary services to discuss food trade restrictions

MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, Director of the Veterinary and Food Oversight Department Ivan Smilgin and Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) Sergei Dankvert intend to discuss the lifting of restrictions from Belarusian food deliveries to the Russian market on 13 February, the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry told BelTA.

Ivan Smilgin and Sergei Dankvert are expected to discuss the implementation of the roadmap on the procedure designed to remove mutual restrictions on merchandise trade. The development of mechanisms for the transit of animal products coming from Belarus to other Eurasian Economic Union member states via Russia will also be discussed.
