MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – A delegation of Russia's Ivanovo Oblast led by Governor Pavel Konkov is expected to come to Belarus for an official visit that will last from 14 April through 16 April, the press service of the Ivanovo Oblast government's representative office in Moscow told BelTA.
During the visit an action plan will be signed on developing trade, economic, scientific, technical, and cultural cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and Ivanovo Oblast in 2016-2017. Apart from that, the Ivanovo Oblast Governor is expected to visit the Minsk tractor factory and the state light industry concern Bellegprom where the first session of the working group on cooperation development will take place.
Ivanovo Oblast works together with Belarus on the basis of the existing agreement on long-term trade and economic cooperation that the Belarus government and the Ivanovo Oblast government signed in 1999. At present Russian-Belarusian joint ventures — OOO Belarusian Flax Ivanovo and OOO Mogilevdrev Ivanovo (furniture and household goods) — operate successfully in Ivanovo Oblast.
