Foreign investment in Belarus economy at $11.3bn in 2015

MINSK, 11 February (BelTA) – In 2015 foreign investors injected $11.3 billion into Belarus' economy. The relevant information is posted on the website of the National Statistics Committee of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

The primary investors were economic operators of Russia (43.2% of the total investment), the United Kingdom (20.6%), Netherlands (10.8%), Cyprus (7.1%), Austria (3.1%), and China (3%).

Foreign direct investment made up $7.2 billion, or 63.8% of the total.

Taking into account the amounts owed for products and services, considerable FDI inflows were received from residents of Russia (45.1%), the UK (30.3%), and Cyprus (9%).
