First products from China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone in 2019

MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – The first few products will be manufactured in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone in 2019, BelTA learned from Belarusian Economy Minister Vladimir Zinovsky after a regular session of the working group on the industrial park project on 24 November.

Vladimir Zinovsky said: “We've already registered 23 resident companies in the park. The number can be doubled or can even go higher within the next three years. We expect the first products to be made in 2019.”

Participants of the session discussed target markets for the industrial park's products. “We can sell high-tech products in the Eurasian Economic Union and the European Union. There are no problems with that,” noted the Belarusian economy minister.

The Chinese side would like to expedite the commissioning of newly built facilities. “It takes 12-14 months to build large facilities. Then we may spend eight months accepting them. It means we should work faster to adapt our standards to the standards of the People's Republic of China, which, as a matter of principle, match European and global standards. It is a problem our design institutions should look into. The issue should be resolved faster,” explained the official.
