MOGILEV, 8 December (BelTA) – The first vehicle from the Belarusian-Chinese lineup Zoomlion-MAZ has been certified for compliance with requirements of the Customs Union, BelTA learned from Yuri Pivovarov, Director of the Belarusian-Chinese joint venture OOO Zoomlion-MAZ.
Russia, Kazakhstan, and other countries have greenlighted the sales and use of the utility vehicles made by Belarusian MAZ in association with the automobile giant Zoomlion. The 25-tonne automobile crane ZMC-25 has been recognized as compliant with technical regulations and has been approved as matching the relevant vehicle type.
The automobile crane ZMC-25 boasts a record-long lifting arm — 33m (41m with a fly jib). It can lift virtually any cargoes as high as a 12-story building. The vehicle also boasts increased stability and reliability since the special design evenly distributes tension. Apart from that, the new crane boasts one of the best chassis in the Commonwealth of Independent States. It is Minsk-made.
All the segments of ecological requirements and standards of the Eurasian Economic Union market are now open to the Belarus-made vehicle. The certificates confirm that the vehicles assembled in Mogilev are safe, stressed Yuri Pivovarov. Sales of automobile cranes in Russia alone total hundreds of millions of U.S. dollars.
Zoomlion-MAZ rolled out the new product after less than one year although spending about three years to go from blueprints to the end product is the mechanical engineering industry's observed standard. After the ZMC-25 model the Belarusian-Chinese team mastered the production of prototype automobile cranes with the lifting capacity of 40 and 60 tonnes.
OOO Zoomlion-MAZ was registered in Mogilev in February 2017 to start making utility vehicles using spare premises of the Mogilevtransmash factory. At present the joint venture makes automobile cranes. In the future the company intends to also produce concrete pump trucks, mixer trucks, and municipal utility vehicles. There are plans to export most of the output. The company had its own website developed recently to showcase the products and present the dealership chain and the aftersales service chain.More about Economy
