FEZ Gomel-Raton reports 79 new jobs in January-February 2017

GOMEL, 28 March (BelTA) – The FEZ Gomel-Raton resident companies created 79 new jobs in January-February 2017, head of the FEZ Gomel-Raton administration Antonina Yezhova told BelTA.

“The companies that have recently become the FEZ resident companies have added some jobs but most of them are created within the framework of the investment projects implemented by the old-timers,” Antonina Yezhova pointed out.

The number of workers of FEZ Gomel-Raton resident companies is constantly increasing. For instance, 636 jobs were created there in 2016. Antonina Yezhova is convinced that this positive trend will keep on growing. New enterprises with Russian capital have registered with the FEZ this year. A number of the FEZ resident companies from the EU are in the middle of promising projects. They plan to employ workers gradually.

As of 2 March 2017, FEZ Gomel-Raton comprises 77 enterprises. In 2016 they raised more than $12 million in foreign direct investments on a net basis.

FEZ Gomel-Raton was established in 1998. The zone has land plots in the city of Gomel and Gomel District, in the towns of Mozyr, Rechitsa, Svetlogorsk, and Dobrush. FEZ Gomel-Raton has both foreign companies and Belarusian entities. FEZ Gomel-Raton investment leaders are Germany, Russia, Ukraine, Liechtenstein and Lithuania.
