Eurasian Intergovernmental Council approves Belarus new candidates to EEC Board

MOSCOW, 6 August (BelTA) – The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council has approved new candidates to represent Belarus at the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). This information was posted on the legal portal of the Eurasian Economic Union, BelTA has learned.

The candidates include Viktor Nazarenko who seeks the position of Member of the Board (Minister) for Technical Regulations at the Eurasian Economic Commission and Alexander Subbotin who was nominated as Member of the Board (Minister) for Industry and Agribusiness Complex at the Eurasian Economic Commission. Their candidacies need to be approved by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council.

The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission consists of the chairman and nine ministers. Thus, each EAEU member state has two representatives at the EEC Board. At present Belarus is represented by Member of the Board (Minister) for Technical Regulations Valery Koreshkov and Member of the Board (Minister) for Industry and Agribusiness Complex Sergei Sidorsky.
