Eurasian Economic Commission intends to establish contacts with United States

MOSCOW, 21 March (BelTA) – The Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) intends to establish contacts with the United States, the EEC press service told BelTA following a meeting between Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) Tigran Sargsyan and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States to Russia Jon Huntsman.

“Tigran Sargsyan and Jon Huntsman expressed support for the idea of establishing contacts between the relevant institutions of the United States and the Eurasian Economic Commission on matters of mutual interest,” the press service noted.

Tigran Sargsyan spoke about the EEC, the institutions and goals of the integration and also about the current challenges facing the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU). Particular emphasis was placed on matters of trade relations of the EAEU with third countries.
