EAEU-Armenia business forum to take place in Tsakhkadzor 1-4 June

MINSK, 21 March (BelTA) – Armenia's Tsakhkadzor will host a business forum headlined “Eurasian Economic Union: Armenia – Cooperation” from 1 to 4 June, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI).

“The business forum ‘Eurasian Economic Union: Armenia – Cooperation' will be held in Golden Palace Hotel Resort in the town of Tsakhkadzor from 1 to 4 June 2018 under the aegis of the Eurasian Economic Commission and Armenia's government in cooperation with the EAEU governments. The event will focus on ways to bring the interaction of the EAEU member states with other countries to a new level,” the BCCI noted.

The program will include a plenary session and breakout sessions moderated by representatives of the EAEU member states jointly with Armenian authorities, and also a business matchmaking session and B2B meetings.

The event is meant to search for new business contacts between businessmen from the EAEU member states, discuss essential economic issues with government officials, expand business, and hold dialogue with authorities on ways to ramp up the exports from the EAEU. “Such events help establish direct cooperation in manufacturing and trade between businessmen from different countries and regions. The Belarusian delegation will be provided with special conditions of participation, namely a 20% discount,” the BCCI said.

The business forum will be attended by government officials, representatives of various unions and associations, and also top executives of companies based in Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.

The annul business forum was first held in the resort town of Tsakhkadzor in 2014. It was dedicated to Armenia's accession to the Customs Union. The event is organized by the chambers of commerce and industry of Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Belarus, Kazakhstan's national agency for export and investment Kazakh Invest, and Evencenter Company.
