Customs services of Belarus, China discuss Great Stone industrial park development

MINSK, 22 October (BelTA) – The development of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone was discussed as a delegation of the General Administration of Customs of China led by Deputy Minister Wang Lingjun met with representatives of the State Customs Committee of Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Bilateral cooperation was discussed during the meeting, including freight transportation by rail between China and the European Union. As a result of the meeting the sides made decisions on topical matters concerning personnel training and risk analysis.

The sides confirmed their readiness for further productive cooperation aimed at implementing the agreements on recognizing authorized economic operators in Belarus and China. The participation of the customs services in the implementation of China's initiative to create the Silk Road Economic Belt was lauded.

The Chinese delegation went to see the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone and the transportation and logistics hub Shchitomirichi. Members of the delegation were made familiar with accomplishments achieved in the course of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation between Belarusian and Chinese government agencies. Promising avenues of such cooperation were determined.
