BREST, 11 September (BelTA) – A delegation of Brest Oblast will make an official visit to China's Anhui Province on 11-15 September, BelTA learned from Mikhail Batsenko, the chairman of the economy committee of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee.
The delegation is led by Chairman of the Brest Oblast Executive Committee Anatoly Lis. The delegation includes the heads of the city of Brest and Bereza District, the Brest Free Economic Zone, the regional office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Brest' higher education institutions and such companies as OAO Savushkin Product, Brest and Bereza meat packing plants, OAO Brestmash, Bereza cheese factory, Malorita canning and vegetable dehydration plant and Pinsk fur farm.
The forthcoming meeting is a return visit and the continuation of the agreements to develop interregional links. The sides signed a protocol on intent to establish partnership relations in economy, industry, agriculture, tourism and other fields in December 2016. The current visit is expected to result in the cooperation agreement between Brest Oblast and China's Anhui Province.
A business forum of the two regions is planned for 13 September. The plenary part of the forum will be mainly dedicated to the presentation of Brest Oblast. It will be followed by a business matchmaking session where concrete agreements are expected to be signed between the Belarusian and Chinese manufacturers.
The program of the visit includes the visits to the companies, the meetings with the officials of the Anhui Province and its administrative center. There are plans to sign cooperation agreements between Brest and Hefei, Bereza District and Bengbu.More about Economy
