MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) – A camp for construction workers of contractors has been opened in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, BelTA has learned.
Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin took part in the opening ceremony. “Today we are opening a construction camp where over 1,500 people will be able to live in comfort,” stressed the official.
The land plot occupies 7 hectares and includes five sites with the necessary engineering infrastructure for accommodating workers of five contractors. Leisure infrastructure is available as well, including a universal sports ground, an area with fitness machines for working out outdoors, and a container cluster for consumer services and recreation outlets.
The project to build the construction camp has been organized and funded by SZAO Industrial Park Development Company. A number of major Chinese civil engineering companies will move their workers into the new premises. The number includes CAMC Engineering Company, China No. 15 Metallurgical Construction Group Company (15MCC), China Railway 25th Bureau Group, and other companies. These companies will manage the construction camp together via a special committee.
Industrial Park Development Company CEO Hu Zheng noted that the park had experienced striking changes in the last three years. “We can say that these changes are the result of the hard work of our construction workers and we should enable optimal living conditions for them. This is why we hope that our construction workers will work hard by day and will rest well in the construction camp at night,” he stressed.
Head of the Administration of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone Alexander Yaroshenko also pointed out that the creation of the construction camp is a major event for the industrial park. “I can assure you, the construction workers, that you will live in comfort in this construction camp and we will enable all the conditions to keep you in good mood and good health because progress in the implementation of our entire project depends on you,” said Alexander Yaroshenko.
