Bellesbumprom's exports to Uzbekistan up tenfold in January-April 2018

MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – Enterprises affiliated with Bellesbumprom Concern , increased exports tenfold to Uzbekistan in January-April 2018, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian timber, woodworking, pulp and paper industry concern Bellesbumprom.

In 2018 Bellesbumprom's enterprises began to work more actively on the market of Uzbekistan and this has yielded good results. In January-April 2017 the exports to Uzbekistan totaled $220,000. In the four months this year the exports rose to $2.2 million. Major exports are chipboards produced by Ivatsevichdrev and also plywood and wood chemistry products.

In terms of export to the CIS member states, Uzbekistan is now fourth largest market for Bellesbumprom behind Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan.

“Several more big contracts are in the pipeline. There are all the prerequisites to further build up export of Belarusian woodworking products to Uzbekistan,” the press service noted.
